Bus-Truck collision claims six lives in Ogun

Six people lost their lives on Tuesday following a collision between a commercial bus and a truck in Ogun State.

The tragic incident occurred at Car Park C, opposite the RCCG junction along the Lagos/Ibadan highway.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps verified the occurrence, involving a Mazda bus with the registration number EPE 440 YG.

According to TRACE spokesperson Babatunde Akinbiyi, the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.

Among the casualties, five adult males and one adult female lost their lives instantly, while six others sustained injuries.

The deceased were laid to rest at the Idera Morgue in Sagamu and Famobis Hospital in Mowe. The injured individuals received medical attention at RCCG and Famobis hospitals, respectively.
