There’s currently tension in Gboko, a major town in Benue State following the death of a student of Mkar University by a trailer.
The student, whose identity was given as Mbachirin was reportedly crushed to death by the careless driver of the trailer while trying to cross the road on Tuesday morning.
The development sparked protest among students of the school who vowed to burn both the vehicle and the driver.
Meanwhile, police are on ground to calm the situation.
