We received in tears earlier this looming, the tragedy of a fatal accident that occurred at Wannune, Gboko Road, involving a has that was conveying some of our Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) members in their Diocesan Uniform, who had gone for a burial and were on their way back.

According to their Parish Priest, Very Revd Fr John AGBO, OSA, four persons lost their lives in the accident.

On this sad note, the Cathedraticum for High Level Deanery scheduled for tomorrow, 8th April, 2022 has been postponed. In its place, the Bishop invites as all to a mass for the peaceful repose of the dead, consolation to the biological families and healing for those wounded in the accident.

The venue for the mass will be at St Francis’ Quasi-parish, Owner Occupier Estate, Makurdi by 12:oo noon. Colour of vestment for the mass will be white. May Our Lord Jesus Christ whose resurrection we await in this Lenten Season grant eternal life to their mortal bodies. And, may the any Spirit endow the bereaved families and friends with the fortitude to bear this tragedy with Christian resignation.
Yours fraternally,
