The National Population Commission (NPC) is billed to carryout a Pre-census exercise, known as Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) in Apa and Agatu Local Government Areas of Benue State.
According to NPC Commissioner from Benue State, Barr. Mrs Patricia Kupchi, the exercise is a vehicular drive and foundation for census and the team will from Monday 28th September, 2020 be embarking on advocacy visits to the Traditional Rulers and other Stakeholders from Apa and and Agatu to sensitize them about the exercise.
While as from Monday 5th October to 9th October will be for training of the Demarcation team and the field work is to last up to 29th October, 2020
She appealed for support and cooperation from the host communities and the State government, that the Apa/Agatu EAD exercise is Phase 10, and the exercise is a housing census in continuation of the Enumeration and delineation of localities in preparation for the next Census Exercise.
