Chelsea 0-2 Bournemouth: Blues lose to Bees at home

Brentford clinched their third Premier League win of the season, triumphing over Chelsea with goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo.

Despite Chelsea’s overall dominance, they paid the price for wastefulness when Ethan Pinnock powered a header into the net from Bryan Mbeumo’s excellent cross.

In a late push to salvage the match, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez ventured forward for a corner, but it backfired as Neal Maupay initiated a counter-attack for Brentford and set up Mbeumo, sealing the Bees’ second goal.

Chelsea, who came closest to scoring in the first half when Noni Madueke struck the woodwork, suffered their ninth home defeat of the year due to their profligacy in front of the goal.

Brentford’s goalkeeper, Mark Flekken, was rarely put to the test, and the team’s staunch defense, coupled with quick counter-attacks, ultimately proved decisive in their victory.
