Controversial Miss South Africa contestant Chidimma Adetshina has now entered the Miss Universe Nigeria competition as the representative for Taraba State.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Chidimma, born in Soweto at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in 2001, has a diverse background with an Igbo father and a Mozambican mother who is now a naturalized South African.
Her earlier participation in Miss South Africa was marred by questions about her nationality, leading to an investigation by the South African Ministry of Home Affairs. As a result, Chidimma chose to withdraw from the Miss South Africa contest and accepted an invitation to join the 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria pageant.
On Friday, the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant organizers introduced Chidimma on their official site, announcing her as Miss Taraba and contestant number 25.
“Introducing CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA (@chichi_vanessa) as MISS TARABA STATE,” the organizers wrote.
