Excitement filled the Enugu training pitch of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Rangers as Chijoke Alaekwe, a talented footballer, arrived for trials on Friday. The Flying Antelopes have opened their doors for an open trial to identify potential stars for the upcoming NPFL season.
Alaekwe, who has previous experience with the defunct Ifeanyi Ubah and Nasarawa United, was seen at the training ground, hoping to catch the attention of Rangers’ head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu. The 25-year-old also had an international stint with Bangladesh-based side Sheikh Jamal FC in 2022.
