Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and son of former Governor Theodore Orji, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Orji disclosed his decision to some of his close supporters on Monday night, citing the necessity of the move.
“After careful consultation and personal reflection, I have chosen to depart from the PDP. It is time for us to chart a new course in our lives,” he stated.
This development follows shortly after Chris Nwagboso, a former Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of the Deputy Governor of Abia State, also resigned from the PDP. Nwagboso conveyed his resignation in a letter addressed personally to the PDP Ward Chairman of Ehi-Na-Uguru/Osokwa Ward 5, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Abia State.
