South African club, Chippa United, is reportedly demanding €2 million for the transfer of their standout Nigerian goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali.
Nwabali has garnered attention with his impressive performances, particularly during the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, where he has maintained three clean sheets in four matches for the Super Eagles.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper has also been catching the eye with stellar displays for Chippa United throughout the current season. Union St Gilloise from the Belgian Pro League is said to be at the forefront of clubs pursuing Nwabali.
However, Nwabali’s participation in Nigeria’s AFCON 2023 quarter-final clash against Angola is uncertain due to a knee injury sustained during the Super Eagles’ Round of 16 victory over Cameroon last Saturday.
Despite the setback, his remarkable performances have fueled interest in his transfer, with Chippa United attaching a €2 million price tag to secure his services.
