Chris Morgan pens heart-renting tribute to Rev Sammoses Enenche

You were a God given treasure to me and the rest of the world. Your impact in my life was a fulfillment of your ministry. We went out everywhere, bus stops, on the streets, nooks and crannies with you to preach the gospel of Christ.

I remember Ajangbadi, Okokomaiko, Afromedia, Festac town, Gowon Estate, Ikeja airport hotel.

You believed in me when I was still selling orange and groundnut for my mother. I saw how you took Okada to my father’shouse in Otukpo, depot road to ask my parents to release me to you for the work of the ministry and I became your first pianists in Lagos.
You were a sweet spirit of love, kindness faith and hospitality. You told me to work on my gift, that I will go places; all the prophecies I received from you came to pass.
Your house was a home for the masses; you paid the price for so many to enter into their inheritance. I remember the night we slept (on the Benin to Lagos express road while traveling to Lagos because the J5 bus that carried us had a gear box issue and so we had to sleep) in that bush. You love the Lord so much that you gave your all to the gospel. You were a man of prayer and fasting, you thought us how to wait on God.

You were a unique grace; you gave us every encouragement necessary, so we can correctly occupy our God given position. Your impact in our lives is a mission fulfilled.

When I first saw you, the glory of your countenance was so bright and fresh, the power of God was raw, your speech drop with power, healing the sick. You were a mighty deliverance to many.

Men gave ears and waited for your counsel, sometimes you lay all night in the bush with your wife, Emo Enenche , Abel Uloko, Isaiah and many other pastors and I, in the bush of ajangbadi just to receive answers from God to solve the issues of men.

If I have to recount, no book will be enough, I miss you in so many ways. As you Journey Home, your legacy remains and we are that legacy.
