Christian genocide: Those backing perpetrators of attacks are “beasts” – Dr Paul Enenche

Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has sharply criticized government officials and others who dismiss claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria.

Speaking during a live Sunday service while leading prayers for the nation, Pastor Enenche said that anyone denying the ongoing atrocities against Christians “requires psychiatric evaluation.”

The cleric condemned the violence allegedly carried out by Islamic extremists across the country, asserting that those defending the perpetrators are “criminally minded.”

“Anybody who backs a beast is also a beast. They said genocide is happening, some people said it is not happening. Nigerians said massacre is happening, some said it is not happening,” he said.

“Anybody who says a crime that is happening is not happening is either criminally minded or has a psychiatric mentality. Such a person needs a psychiatric evaluation,” Pastor Enenche added.

Addressing the nature of genocide, he explained: “Genocide is when there is an intention to destroy. What intention are you trying to define when a people come and sack others from their land, kill them, occupy the land, and even change the name of the place?”

Citing specific examples from Benue State, the pastor described areas rendered impassable due to attacks: “There is a place between Makurdi and Adoka—when was the last time anybody was able to pass that road? The road has been deserted because of devils occupying that territory. Local government facilities have become residences for displaced people who left their villages.”

He condemned the politicization of human suffering: “And then some demons are saying there is no genocide and massacre. What useless and stupid ambition is that? Politics over the blood of people and human lives. You will give account of that blood.”
