As part of his efforts to promote peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims in Kaduna, Pastor Yohanna Buru, the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, made a generous donation to the newly built Tudun-Biki Central Mosque in the Igabi Local Government Area.

During the mosque’s grand opening on Friday, Pastor Buru presented over one hundred plastic kettles, emphasizing that the donation strengthened Christian-Muslim relations and fostered religious tolerance in the state. The event also marked the one-year anniversary of a tragic drone attack on the community, which killed several worshippers celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Special prayers were held for the victims, and the mosque was officially opened for prayers.

Pastor Buru explained that the church’s visit was to support the Muslim community and promote peace and harmony between Christians and Muslims in the region. He highlighted that the church’s contribution was not just to provide essential materials for the mosque, but also to help strengthen the bond between the two faiths. “We are one family under God,” he said, noting that both Christians and Muslims share common beliefs and should live as brothers and sisters, supporting one another.

The pastor also pointed out the church’s ongoing tradition of aiding mosques affected by disasters, such as fires and storms, offering help during difficult times.

Mallam Ibrahim Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who received the donation, thanked Pastor Buru for his thoughtful gifts, which included historical trees, prayer mats, and plastic kettles for Muslim worshippers. He also reflected on the tragedy that occurred one year ago, expressing gratitude for the solidarity shown by their Christian brothers.

“We are deeply grateful for your generosity,” Mallam Ibrahim said, urging Nigerians to continue praying for peace and unity across the country. “We must all work together to protect the peace and stability of Nigeria and uphold our national dignity.”
