Confusion as APC denies seeing Ganduje’s suspension order

Professor Abdulkarim Kana, the national legal adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has clarified that the party has not officially received the order from the Kano State High Court suspending Abdullahi Ganduje, the party chairman, from office.

Kana made this statement while addressing journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday. He emphasized that the judgment had various flaws.

“We have heard reports this afternoon, but as of now, we have not been served with any court order. It appears they relied on the same fraudulent document in court. Any order resulting from such a judgment is illegitimate because it was obtained through fraudulent means,” Kana remarked.

He further pointed out that the individuals responsible for this action are neither members of the APC nor part of the Kano State party executive. “We do not recognize them,” Kana asserted.

Kana noted that the authentic executives of Dawakin Tofa Ward have distanced themselves from Ganduje’s purported suspension from the party. He mentioned that these executives are preparing to petition the National Judicial Council (NJC) regarding the matter. Additionally, the party leadership has lodged a complaint with the Inspector General of Police, urging action on the issue.

Earlier, executives from Dawakin Tofa Ward visited Ganduje to express their discontent with the situation.
