It was a tragic scene and palpable fear yesterday at the Benue State police Command Makurdi as an Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation Department, CID, Mr Michael Martins slumped and died without any sign of ailment.
Mr Martins died while walking towards his office after a meeting with the Benue State Commissioner of police and other high ranking officers of the Command on the successes recorded so far by the command.
He was rushed to the police clinic immediately after the sudden collapse and the doctors there confirmed him dead few minutes later.
His corpse has been deposited in an unknown mortuary in Makurdi.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
