Controversy over decomposing bodies of Idoma girls, Christie Agbulu and Grace Ene Onaivi found in Lokoja bush

By Apeh Peterhot

Ms. Christie Agbulu and Grace Ene Onaivi were declared missing on separate grounds but each of these young girls’ decaying bodies were found on separate dates source told New-Nigeria Reporters.

Christie Agbulu, known on Facebook as Christie O Christie, purportedly left Makurdi on November 25, 2016 on a visit to a friend in Lokoja but was not heard from thence until her decaying body was found this afternoon in Lokoja, Kogi State.

New-Nigeria Reporters leant from a reliable source closed to the family that Christie left Makurdi on November 25 on the invitation of her Tiv friend, Mr. Levi Shemba, an origin of Benue State living in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Christie, according to the source, may have been abducted in Lokoja town, on her way to meeting Mr. Shemba where she was directed to by the said Levi Shemba who purportedly described the address to the cyclist that picked Christie up in Lokoja town about 7pm that evening.

The source further revealed that all efforts to get the late Christie out of her suspected abductors’ den proved abortive until her decaying body was found today, Tuesday afternoon in a bush in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

Christie in her early thirty until her death was carrying out her PhD program with Benue State University, Makurdi.

She was a native of Ugbokolo in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State
On the other hand, Miss Grace Ene Onaivi, an Edo born 300 level student of Benue State University whose mother hailed from Idoma land in Benue State was declared missing on December 23, 2016 by her family members who could not hear from her nor know her whereabouts during the Christmas period
.

Grace Ene Onaivi’s body was also found few days ago in Lokoja almost at the same spot where Christie was found today. Her family declared her missing on December 24 after all efforts to reach her proved abortive

Reacting to this development, a family friend of the Agbulus who demanded anonymity because she has no authority to speak on behalf of the Agbulu family, said “This incessant killing of Idoma people in Kogi is becoming worrisome and may one day lead to reprisal attack which may culminate into war.”

She questioned the Kogi State Government’s abilities to tame insecurity in the area while calling on Benue State Government to rise to these ugly incidents, especially these two particular ones. She also called on the Police Force and other security agencies to bring perpetrators of this dastard act to the full wraths of the law
