Controversy over porn movie produced in Benue State (DOWNLOAD)

So far, my investigations have shown, unfortunately that the Benue artists involved in this shameful act are novices and are not registered members of any of these professional bodies as required and therefore may have been misguided into these unprofessional productions for unknown reasons.

The national body of AMP in Lagos, through the Benue state chapter has already been briefed and put on alert in order to track the producers of these uncensored movies, whether they are registered members or not.

A formal report is also being forwarded to the Nigerian Film & Video Censored Board and the Nigerian Copyright Right Commission for their attention.

In the meantime, the state Commissioner of Police has also been alerted in order to help track down the producers of these movies. The state chapters of AMP, AGN and the Office of the SSA to the Governor on Entertainment are on top of the situation. The matter will be effectively addressed.

I have said it before, this act is condemnable in totality and we shall do all within the law to make sure the culprits are apprehended and brought to book, while also ensuring that the abominable conduct exhibited by these artistes does not repeat itself.

Benue artistes are known for their professionalism and this we must fight to always maintain.
Am heading back to Makurdi immediately to fully engage all necessary resources in order to fully address this.

May I appeal that while we pursue this matter with a view to resolving all issues at take, I wish to advise us to exercise a little caution against extreme actions, especially here on social media that may create further casualty out of these artistes and their families.
