Coronavirus kills Aisha Adole’s husband, Achimugu

Suleiman Achimugu, former managing director of the  Pipeline and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) died overnight from coronavirus. He is the first casualty in Nigeria.

Achimugu, who returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom a fortnight ago, started showing symptoms of the virus last Tuesday.

He was said to have died around 2:00am on Monday.

Achimugu reportedly coughed severely for most part of Sunday.

A family source said that officials of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) were informed of his situation.

The family alleged that the NCDC did not revert despite Achimugu testing positive

“NCDC officials came to the house and took his blood specimen. Even though it tested positive, they never got back to us until he died at a hospital in Gwagwalada.

“We are all currently under quarantine in the house,” a family source told SaharaReporters on Monday.

NCDC reports that Nigeria has 36 confirmed cases of the deadly coronavirus.

Achimugu is married to Abuja socialite, Aisha Adole, Captain John Adole’s daughter. He died this morning, due to the negligence of the NCDC.
