Report reaching WWW.IDOMAVOICE.COM from Otukpo, Benue State has it that a Coronavirus patient, who allegedly escaped from isolation centre in Ogun, has been arrested in the area.
The patient, whose identity was not given at the time of this report, our reporter gathered was tested positive for COVID-19 in Ogun but sneaked from where he was supposed to be taking his medication to Otukpo Town.
Sources said information got to the COVID-19 Taskforce Team in Otukpo and he was arrested.
The suspect is said to be a native of Akpa and has since been taken to the general hospital in Otukpo.
Meanwhile, Benue State has recorded only two COVID-19 cases.
The state is currently handling one patient after the index case, Susan Okpe was moved to Abuja on the order of the ministry of humanitarian affairs.
Just last week, the state recorded its second case after one Edward Manger who was said to have been tested positive in Kano entered the state.
