Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Abuja, has trashed the corruption charges filed against a ez-Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Andrew Yakubu.
The court held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) failed to prove the corruption allegations against Yakubu.
Justice Mohammed said the money seized from the former NNPC GMD should be returned to the defendant.
Shortly after the verdict, an emotional Yakubu could not control his tears.
