…Present flags to councillors
Rt. Hon. George Alli, the immediate past caretaker Chairman and incoming Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Area Council on Friday 27th March, 2020 led critical stakeholders and the 13 councilorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at an emergency sensitization programme to combat the deadly pandemic identified as Corona Virus in the area.
The programme which had in attendance representatives from the four districts of Otukpo LGA, namely: Otukpo, Akpa, Ugboju and Adoka was graced by top notch politicians like Hon. Abel Otobi, the executive Chairman of PDP in Otukpo, Hon. Mrs Abeje Egwa, the State women leader of the PDP, Hon. Michael Audu, the member representing Adoka/Ugboju State Constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Gabriel Olofu, former caretaker Chairman of Otukpo LGA and present SSA to Gov. Samuel Ortom on intercommunity matters.
Hon. George Alli stated categorically that the event was mainly to brief the attendants on how to keep their people at home safe from the ravaging Corona virus which is also known as Covid 19.
The Chairman while giving further details disclosed that no fewer than 4,000 70ml sanitizers will be made available for distribution for free in Otukpo latest on Wednesday 1st April, 2020.
Hon. Abel Otobi also used the opportunity to present flags to the councilorship candidates of the party as Hon. Mrs Abeje Egwa and Hon. Michael Audu admonish the potential grassroot lawmakers to always be of good conduct and also carry their constituents along when elected.
