A company in United Arab Emirates, UAE is to donate Personal Protective Equipment and ventilators worth 12 million Euros to the Benue State Government to fight Covid-19 and other diseases.
The grant was approved following a request to that effect by Racephoid Nigeria Limited, an indigenous company based in Abuja.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Racephoid, Mr. Nicholas Adakole made this known when he met with Governor Samuel Ortom at the Governor’s Lodge Abuja.
Mr. Adakole who stated that the grant was given to Benue due to the vision of Governor Ortom in providing quality health care services to the people, said the items would be delivered in six weeks time.
The Managing Director of Racephoid also requested the approval of the government to enable the company establish a waste to energy project in the state.
Mr. Adakole enumerated the benefits of the project to include employment of over one thousand youths, provide power and water as well as synder blocks which would crash the cost of building.
Responding, Governor Samuel Ortom expressed appreciation to donor of the equipment and directed the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Joseph Ngbea to liaise with them to enhance the process.
On the waste to energy project, Governor Ortom said it was a welcome development that would create wealth and job opportunities for the people, saying the Government was willing to partner with the company to realise the project.
