COVID-19 Vaccine: George Alli takes jab in Otukpo

As the global campaign for the Covid-19 vaccination continues to gain momentum around the world, the Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. George Alli, on Friday, 26th March, 2021 led from the front as he took the Covid-19 vaccination at the Otukpo LG Council Secretariat.

The Chairman took the vaccine in the presence of health workers and council staff when the UN attache in the LG, Mrs Margaret Chia, HOD of Health, Otukpo Local Government Health Authority, Mrs Margaret Odaba, came to the council to vaccinate the workers. He enjoined the people to stay safe by paying attention the COVID -19 prevention and safety protocols outlined by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Benue State Covid – 19 task force headed by the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr. Benson Abounu.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Coronavirus has killed more than 2.6 million people and infected over 120 million others worldwide.
