In what reflected the true yearning of the Igede people, former Commissioner of Police, Oga Ero emerged as the Adirahu Ny’Igede, Igede First Class Chief.
The selection which took place today saw CP Ero poll 14 votes as against 11 gotten by fellow contestant, Prof Johnson Onah. In a brief acknowledgement after the results were announced, HRM Oga Ero attributed the outcome to the will of God, emphasising that it was a victory for all Igede, at home and in diaspora.
He enjoined the Igede faithful to close ranks and work together, adding that he will conduct the affairs of the land with fairness, love and justice, and also be a father to all.
