Prof. Innocent Ujah, the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, has warned that the institution would guard seriously against fake result and certificate as the institution sets to kick off academic activities.
According to him, a admission or employment seeker with fake certificate from would not be welcomed.
He told Apa TV that the way and manner the school came, it took a lot from some people and it must be guarded jealously.
His words, “We thank God and thank Mr. President for bringing this university to our own senatorial distinct.
“Before now, nobody would have thought it was possible but with God all things are possible. We thank Senator David Mark and those who ensured that this university comes to our place”
On admission, Prof Ujah said, “As far as admission is concerned, we should aim for the best. I want to state very clearly that this is not a local university. It is not an Idoma university; it is conceptualized to be an international university, so, nobody should come from a miracle centre with fake result.
“Fortunately, I have enough experience and others who would join me, we will screen out fake results because they are very many. Even those from Benue South should note that anybody coming with fake result would not be taken. We have some people with all sorts of degrees and certificates.
“We will not work with certificate alone, we will work with knowledge, skills and performance.
“So, my plea and advice is that, anybody wanting to come and work, or to get enrolled as a student, should be prepared.
“The person must have the requisite qualifications, it is going be a university where competition would be high, they my must be prepared and don’t come with the mindset that they are from Benue South. There is no guarantee for that.
“Yes, the institution is located in Benue South, but the content and context is not for Idoma people alone. Anybody coming should be ready, nobody should come here with the mindset that since the university is close to their doorstep, they can walk in and just walk out.
“The way and manner this school came, it took a lot from some people and it must be guarded jealously.
“Anybody coming should be ready. If you get employed or admitted, be prepared.”
