Crossdresser Bobrisky denies allegations of bribing EFCC with N15 million

Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has denied allegations of bribing officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Tuesday night, popular influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, released an alleged voice recording of Bobrisky, claiming he paid a N15 million bribe to EFCC officials. The recording suggested that the bribe was intended to drop money laundering charges against him.

In the recording, Bobrisky allegedly stated that he avoided serving time in prison following his conviction and sentencing to six months in jail, after being found guilty of naira mutilation in April 2024. He claimed his godfather arranged for him to stay in a lodge instead of prison.

However, Bobrisky has labeled the viral recording as fake, asserting that he did serve his sentence in prison.

In an Instagram post, he stated: “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating online, claiming I paid the EFCC 15 million naira and never went to prison. I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it’s a very big lie. I served my full term and came out. Disregard any false information.”
