Crystal Palace in talks to sign Kelechi Iheanacho from Leicester City

Crystal Palace, a Premier League team, has shown keen interest in acquiring the services of Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Sun reports that discussions have been initiated between Palace and Leicester City, a Sky Bet Championship club, regarding this potential transfer.

Iheanacho’s current contract has only one year left, and he appears to be disinclined towards extending it.

Previously, the 27-year-old was linked with Everton, another Premier League club.

Despite Leicester City’s relegation from the Premier League, the Nigerian international delivered an exceptional performance in the previous season.

Iheanacho emerged as the top scorer for the Foxes during that campaign, and he also secured the Player of the Season award.

Having made the move from Manchester City in 2019, Iheanacho’s journey with Leicester City has been noteworthy.
