Crystal Palace sign Matheus Franca from Flamengo

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Flamengo attacker Matheus Franca, making him the latest addition to their squad. The deal sees Franca join the Premier League club for a fee that could rise to £25 million, and he has signed a contract until 2028.

Speaking to the club’s website, Franca expressed his excitement about joining Crystal Palace and his commitment to contributing positively to the team. He said, “I hope I can bring good results for our supporters, for the other players, and everybody else in the team. I’m very excited for my first game here at my new home, giving my best for my new team. I hope all the supporters are happy with me coming here. I bet it is going to be good for all of us.”

Palace chairman Steve Parish also expressed his delight in securing the young and talented player. He emphasized the club’s tradition of nurturing attacking players with skill, pace, and tenacity, and he believes Franca will fit in well with the young and promising squad they are building at Crystal Palace.
