Dan Onjeh is an incurable imbecile – Oche

Hon. Comrade James Oche, a Frontline contestant for the Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo federal constituency position in 2019 under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to Comrade Dan Onjeh, a senatorial aspirant of Benue South under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) statement regarding former Senate President, Sen. David Mark’s presidencial ambition.

Hon. Oche in a press statement freshly issued in Otukpo said “I read with disbelieve and total disappointment some social media reports of the unguarded statement by a certain Dan Onjeh who is pretending to contest for the Benue South Senatorial race under the dismembered All Progressives Congress (APC) party.

“In the report, Dan Onjeh insinuated that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential hopeful, Senator David Mark does not deserve the support of Nigerians for the Presidency.”

He went further saying that because”Dan onjeh did not adduce any reason for that, except hiding under the unverifiable assertion that the latter’s stay in the Senate and the PDP years did not profit him and his likes.

“Besides, he accused Senator Mark of not stopping the killings of Agatu people by herdsmen.

“Haba, Onjeh I thought you still have a brain. No matter how much you hate Senator Mark, I am sure you are the only human being who is still in the dark or who did not know how Senator Mark visited the Agatu and other Benue South communities ravaged by herdsmen with relief materials and support while preaching peace and harmonious coexistence. Severally Senator Mark visited the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps with relief materials when it was near impossible to do so. But Senator Mark did for the love of his people.

“Can it be possible that Onjeh is the only one who did not know that Senator Mark attracted the construction of the Multi-Billion Naira Loko/Oweto bridge in Benue South connecting Benue, Nasarawa, Abuja?

“Senator Mark also influenced the construction of the Multi-Billion Naira Otobi dam which will supply water to the people of Benue State and environs beside the thousands of jobs and ancillary projects.

“Senator Mark single handedly built and donated a multi-million naira complex housing the Nation Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) study centre, Otukpo.

“As a great believer in education, Senator David Mark established a scholarship scheme under David Mark Scholarship Foundation, which awards scholarships ranging from primary to university level education. No fewer than 20,000 students, most of them indigents have benefitted from the annual scholarship scheme since its inception in 2005.

“In all the Nine local government areas making up the Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Mark has attracted rural electrification projects, primary health centres, solar-powered boreholes, class room blocks as well as transformers with no exception.

“I will not dissipate energy responding to this misguided and lost sheep called Dan Onjeh but let me remind him that the same Senator Mark he abuses today, intervened in his life at the critical time when he was unable to continue his education.

“I am just pained that Dan Onjeh is one of the idiots who by happenstance hails from Benue State. We are known for our humility and respect for elders.

“I am tempted to ask whether Dan Onjeh’s mother was properly married to his father. Otherwise, it is hard to reconcile why Onjeh has gone senile even at his youth.

“Obviously, we now know the real enemies of Idoma people. Having failed totally in his delusion to be a Senator by default, and having been used by external forces and dumped, Onjeh can’t still learn his lessons. A fool at 40 is a fool forever. He will have the rest of his life licking his wounds.

“Whatever is prompting Onjeh to insult an elder statesman can only lead him to the Golgotha.

“The gods and ancestors of Idoma will never forgive him except he retraces his step.

“David Mark is unarguably an asset to the nation. He has demonstrated this over time or how can Onjeh suddenly forget how David Mark’s invocation of the “Doctrine of Necessity” saved the nation from precipice to solve the then political logjam?

“Undoubtedly David Mark is a pragmatist, an outstanding Senator, Africa’s finest parliamentarian, a man fiercely devoted to the social, economic and political growth and development of Nigeria, a shrewd and excellent politician and one of the best managers of our democracy. Senator Mark is a man who has all his life displayed vigor without vanity, strength without insolence and courage without ferocity and all the virtues of a natural leader without its vices.

“Not a thousand Onjehs can scratch David Mark. No matter who your pay masters are, be rest assured that David Mark adorns a garment washed by God, no man can stain.” He added.
