Former Senator, Iyorchia Ayu has been dragged into the ongoing controversy sorounding the arms purchase by former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
According to Sahara Reporters, the ex-senator who hailed from Benue got mouth-watering sum of N345m from the controversial deal.
The news outlet said, “Ex-NSA paid N345m to Iyorchia Ayu thru @StanbicIBTC @ @gtbank bank accounts of Emmanuel Lawani of Starbriid Ltd for a mall in Jabi.
Iyorchia Ayu is a former Nigerian Senator who was elected President of the Senate during the Nigerian Third Republic (1992–1993). He later served in various Ministerial positions in the Cabinet of President Olusegun Obasanjo between 1999 and 2007.
