David Algbashal: Reactions, controversial trail murder of Benue born-naval officer

Leadership of the Agila Concerned Youth (ACY) and the entire members of the association, condemn in strong term the killing and beheading of the Benue born naval officer, David Algbashal, who was mistaken to be an Agila man by the ravaging Ngbo people of Ohaukwu local government of Ebonyi state against the Agila people of Ado local government, Benue state, over age long boundary disagreement.

The association also regrets the lackadaisical approach of the relevant authorities saddled with the responsibility even before the outbreak of the coronavirus that could be used as an excuse now.

We cease this opportunity to call for full discharge of justice against all those that have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of the officer and to thank the Deputy governor of our state (Benue State) Eng. Benson Abounu, for his resilience towards lasting peace for the Agila people who are always at the receiving end of the incessant notorious attack of this nature.

We also thank the house of representative member representing Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo federal constituency Hon. Otta Agbo for his move in the green chamber and also to bring to his consciousness that it is good that he made the move, but it will be more expedient to continue in the move for a desired attainment or his move is likely to be termed as “legislative gragra” Thanks.

Signed: Comr. Otokpa Dickson ; Pioneer, Agila Concerned Youth (ACY)
