Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to former President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick’s accusations regarding his absence at a Warri event.
Davido clarified on his Instagram story that he had informed the event organisers well in advance about his unavailability. Despite this, they continued promoting the show using his name.
Addressing his fans in Warri who had spent money to attend, Davido expressed his apologies for the disappointment. He assured them of a future event in Delta State, promising a grand and unforgettable experience.
Amaju Pinnick had criticized Davido for not performing at the Warri Again festival, despite claims of payment and a private jet arrangement. Pinnick warned against excessive pride and compared Davido’s fame to Burna Boy’s ties to Warri.
