Davido leads as the most followed Nigerian on social media

Renowned singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, secures the top spot as the most followed Nigerian on social media. According to the latest rankings released by entertainment statistics company Top Charts Africa on Tuesday, Davido boasts an impressive total of 56.1 million followers across various social media platforms.

Following closely behind is Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, claiming the second position with 38.6 million followers, while Wizkid follows suit with 38.4 million followers.

In the realm of Afropop, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage share the spotlight, both tying with 34.3 million followers and securing the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

The top ten is completed by actress Mercy Johnson (33.5 million followers), music executive Don Jazzy (30.1 million followers), singer Simi (29.9 million followers), skit maker Mark Angel (29.7 million followers), and actress Regina Daniels (28.7 million followers).

This comprehensive ranking is based on follower counts across four major social media platforms: Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok. Davido’s widespread social media presence solidifies his status as a trailblazer in the Nigerian entertainment landscape.
