Nigerian singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, has Reveals how he navigates the pain of losing loved ones.
Having faced significant loss throughout his life, including the death of his mother, Mrs. Victoria Imade Adeleke, when he was just 11, and his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, as well as close friends Tagbo, DJ Olu, Obama DMW, and personal photographer Fortune, Davido has learned to cope with tragedy.
In a recent interview with Mystery Fashionist in New York, he revealed that his faith has been a crucial source of strength during these difficult times.
“I’ve lost a lot of people. I lost my mum at eleven. I just try to stay strong. I even wrote a song called ‘Stand Strong,’” he shared.
“I believe that my strength, along with my faith, has helped me through.”
Davido also addressed some common misconceptions about him.
“Some people think I’m not approachable, while others believe I’m too accessible.”
I grew up in a large family, so I’m used to having people around me. My talent and success are God-given,” he explained.
