Davido sets record for most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa

Nigerian singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, has achieved a new milestone by breaking the record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa, with a total of 389,800 viewers.

The record was set during a livestream on October 30, co-hosted by TikTok stars Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq. At its peak, the stream attracted over 164,000 simultaneous viewers.

During the event, Davido received more than 377 lion gifts on TikTok, each valued at $400. He announced that the proceeds will be shared with his co-hosts, Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.

Previously, Peller held the record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa, a title he earned during a session featuring singer Tiwa Savage.
