Deborah Onah: Tears drop as Idoma-born basketballer dies

The 16-year old basketball player DEBORAH ONAH diagnosed of Spinal Tuberculosis has died after a protracted illness.


The NIgeria Basketball Federation NBBF announced her death early Saturday.


ONAH had been receiving treatment at Primus Specialist hospital, Karu, Abuja.

According to Ada Mark Foundation for girls :

…she was young, had aspirations, dreams, playing the game she loved. Wished the nation would have had her in mind, wished it was ok to dream and actualize that dream even if it was just to play the sport she loved.

Sorry we failed you, sorry your nation failed you, sorry you join the teeming crowd of ‘never to be realized dream!’
