Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Demola Seriki on Thursday died at age 63.
IDOMA VOICE had earlier reported that Seriki’s death was confirmed in a statement made available by his children to newsmen.
It was gathered that Seriki died in Madrid, Spain in the early hours of Thursday. Meanwhile, the remains of Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain who died in Madrid will be laid to rest today (Saturday) at the Ikoyi Vaults and Gardens.
The family of Seriki in a burial plan released on Friday said his corpse will depart Madrid, Spain for Nigeria. Prayers will be held for the repose of the soul of Seriki at his residence, 1b, Jalupon Close, Off Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere, Lagos.
After the funeral in Ikoyi Vaults, prayers will also be held at 17, Oyinkan Abayomi, Queens Drive, Ikoyi. Seriki, born on November 30, 1959, was a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
He served one time as a Minister of State for Defence. As Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, he had concurrent accreditation as a permanent representative of Nigeria to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
