Dickson Akoh, Mike Audu, Odeh, others grace Adoka festival 2021 in Benue

This year’s Adoka Eja Aje was done in a grand style as prominent sons, daughters and friends converged at Aiya-Adoka Benue State for the yearly ritual.

The Adoka Eja Aje is an annual celebration of Alekwu (Ancestral Spirit), which comes mostly in February every year in company of heavy wind (harmartan) to signify the Ancestral Spirits are happy to eat and drink with the people.

HRH Samuel Awulu Onuh, the Och’Adoka in his address, said, the celebration serves as a unifying factor for all Adoka people, guests and well wishers every year amid cultural display like Ogiriye, Ichahoho, Eikwu (Masquerade), all to promote peaceful coexistence.

At the palace, there were royal blessings on sons and daughters whom in various ways have contributed to the Adoka growth and development.

In same vein, the president General of Ai-Adoka Progressives Development Association, Owoicho Igoji, in a terse, eulogized HRH Onuh for standing a symbol of peace!

Others: Mr Ojo Ojama (MD Ojama ventures), Hon. Ann Odeh (Coordinator, Atiku Foundation), Hon Agida Anefu (Fmr Councilor, Adoka Ehaje ward), Mr. James Ogoh Onuminya and more graced the occasion.
