Did Peter Obi sleep at Emir of Lafia palace? (VIDEO)

President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, Bashir Ahmad, on Saturday shared a photo of Peter Obi believed to be sleeping during his visit to the Emir of Lafia, HRH Sidi Bage Muhammad I.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that Obi and his deputy, Datti Baba Ahmad made a stopover at the emir’s palace during the flag off of Labour Party’s presidential campaign in Nasarawa on Saturday.

Few minutes later, Buhari’s aide, Ahmad, shared a picture of Peter Obi sitting with his eyes closed.

He claimed that it was an insult for Obi to be “taking a long nap” while paying homage to a respected traditional leader in the north.

Ahmad tweeted, “The guy beside the LP presidential candidate should please tap his shoulder to wake him up, it is against the culture and protocol to take a long nap while paying homage to a respected traditional leader down here.”

His claim was backed up by ace lawyer and spokesman of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organization, Festus Kayemo, who described the ‘incident’ as ‘human nature.’

DID PETER OBI SLEEP AT EMIR OF LAFIA PALACE?
Checks by IDOMA TELEVISION have shown that the claim is false.

A close look at the showed that it was apparently a flash from the camera that made Obi to blink his eyes.

Video shared by Obi’s supporters during the visit showed that Obi was not at any point caught napping as claimed by APC supporters.
