DISASTER: 16 crushed to death on Zaria-Kano expressway

Tragedy struck along the Zaria-Kano expressway in Kaduna State as a commercial bus accident claimed the lives of sixteen passengers at Taban Sani Junction, Tashar Yari.
The incident occurred around 11:20 am yesterday, resulting in four others sustaining injuries.

Kabir Nadabo, the Kaduna Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), reported that the lone accident was caused by over-speeding.
The driver of the Toyota Bus, identified by registration number TRB 674ZG 35XB, lost control due to excessive speed, leading to the vehicle crashing into a ditch.

Nadabo added that the tragic nature of the road traffic crash and urged travelers to avoid over-speeding.
He stressed the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations to prevent such incidents in the future.

Investigations into the accident are ongoing, and authorities are working to ensure road safety awareness to minimize risks on the nation’s highways.
