Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna and winner of Big Brother Naija’s ‘Level Up’ edition, has shared her thoughts on the ongoing debate about DNA testing.
IDOMA VOICE reports that the conversation on DNA testing has sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians, with many questioning its necessity in light of recent paternity fraud cases.
Last week, Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy suggested that DNA tests should take precedence over naming ceremonies.
Phyna weighed in on the topic through her X handle, expressing her support for Don Jazzy’s viewpoint. She advocated for mandatory DNA tests immediately after childbirth.
“I support DNA tests over naming ceremonies. It should be made compulsory. Right after birth, a DNA test should be conducted,” she wrote.
