Document forgery: 25 suspects detained in kano court
A group of 25 suspects, including Aminu Salisu, Kamilu Yusuf, and Baba Jibril, have been remanded by a Kano Magistrate Court for their alleged involvement in forging documents belonging to the Kano Road Traffic Agency.
The defendants were arraigned before Chief Magistrate Halima Wali, facing three counts of forgery, with the offense allegedly taking place on July 22, 2023, and violating Section 97, 393, 321 of the Penal Code.
Upon hearing the First Information Reports and charges, the defendants pleaded not guilty.
In response, counsel for the defendants, Nazifi Rabiu, requested bail for his clients, citing relevant sections of the Constitution and the Administration of Criminal Justice Law, Kano State 2019.
The presiding magistrate, Halima Wali, scheduled the ruling on the bail application for July 27.
