Fear and panic gripped the residents of Dolphin Estate in Lagos State when a massive python invaded the home of one of the estate’s residents. The incident occurred last night and left the community in a state of alarm.
Reportedly, the snake was found in a property occupied by a young man who was absent at the time. However, the property had a driver residing in the boys’ quarter. The snake had made its way through a weak ceiling into the house where it was discovered by the driver.
The frightened driver immediately contacted the property owner, informing him of the presence of the massive snake in his house. The owner wasted no time and called a friend in Parkview estate, who arrived with a licensed shotgun. The snake was swiftly neutralized and killed by the friend.
A video of the incident was shared on social media by one of the estate’s residents, Olaudah Equiano. In the video, residents can be seen rejoicing after the successful elimination of the threatening python. The incident serves as a reminder of the diverse wildlife encounters that urban areas like Lagos occasionally experience, prompting residents to remain vigilant.
