Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), also known as VDM, has confirmed that the celebrated music producer Don Jazzy was the generous benefactor behind a remarkable N100 million donation to his NGO.
VDM announced on October 17 via his verified Instagram account, expressing both surprise and profound gratitude for the contribution.
Previously, VDM had voiced concerns after receiving the anonymous N100 million donation, which boosted his NGO’s account balance to N170 million. He had reached out to the public and Zenith Bank, seeking help in identifying the donor and emphasizing that he had no involvement in any fraudulent activities, as he was unaware of the source of the funds.
After contacting several individuals without success, Don Jazzy, born Michael Collins Ajereh, eventually reached out to VDM, confirming that he was the one who made the substantial donation.
In his message, Don Jazzy wrote, “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”
Still astonished, VDM shared a video showcasing the message and the transaction receipt, expressing heartfelt appreciation for Don Jazzy’s generosity. He admitted he never anticipated receiving such a large contribution from the renowned music producer.
VDM further explained that his NGO is dedicated to supporting children in public primary schools who lack access to quality teachers.
