Don’t expect January salaries – Gov Ayade tells Cross River civil servants

Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, has said civil servants in the State should not expect their January salaries anytime soon due to a technical breakdown in the State’s computer systems.

The Government made this known on Wednesday in a broadcast via the State-owned radio cooperation, CRBC, by the State Accountant General, Mr Joseph Adie.

“The state government will not be able to pay the January 2021 salaries soon. It will suffer some delays due to technical breakdown of the systems,” he said.

The Governor however noted that efforts are ongoing to rectify the issue and ensure salaries are paid in due course.
