Door2Door disclaim Michael Shawon, See why

Door2Door campaign organization for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has disown one Michael Shawon for parading himself as the organization’s representative to collect stipends from politicians.

Door2Door in a statement issued and signed by Hon. Ogaba James Oche, the National Coordinator Door2Door for PDP condemn in totality the actions of Mr. Shawon.

Below is the excerpt of the statement:

RE : HON. GEORGE ALLI REITERATES SUPPORT FOR GOV. ORTOM AND PDP CANDIDATES AT ALL LEVELS.

It has come to our notice @Door2Door for PDP that one Michael Shawon has been parading himself as this and that of Door2Door for PDP. It has become imperative for us to make this statement to put the record straight; being a reputable organization with proven records of over half a decade of grassroot mobilisation and youth inclusiveness, we owe our esteem followers and believers account of our activities.

The move by Shawon to approach politicians in their offices to give lip support for stipends has never been in the modus operandi of Door2Door for PDP. We are a registered organization with the National PDP and we have an office space situate at Opp Central Mosque, Otukpo. The meeting of PDP office holders by one Shawon who parades himself as convener of Door2Door for PDP is entirely a scam aimed at using the popularity and potency of our reputable organization to swindle office holders of tax payer’s money.

Our regret however is that this scam has begun with one of PDP’s strong leader; Hon George Alli, the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government, who the impostor claimed to have visited and endorsed. The performing Chairman who has been an active player in the political space for more than a decade ought to have advised the impostor to find a different name for his business. Door2Door for PDP even in the life after will never visit candidates to endorse them individually, our loyalty to the PDP is unwavering but it goes beyond cheap lip service and unscrupulous engagement.

We call on all PDP leaders at every level to beware of Shawon and his likes as we embark on the herculean task ahead. We also use this medium to advise Shawon to use other designation for his future endeavors as our organization will take the necessary action if he continues to fraudulently parade himself as an official of Door2Door for PDP.
