No fewer than 20 persons have been burnt to death on Monday evening in a tanker explosion around Ahunbe village, near Aliade in Benue State, while trying to scoop fuel.
The tanker which was hauling fuel to an unspecified location tumbled and fell, forcing the contents to spill.
Eye witness said more than 20 villagers perished while many more were injured.
