As part of activities marking her 55th birthday, Dr. Becky Enenche, wife of Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, extended love and support to over 32 orphanage homes across the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The celebration, held over the weekend at The Lord’s Garden in Abuja, brought together several orphans, widows, and members of Bible clubs established by the church along the Airport Road axis.

The event featured the distribution of food items, educational materials, and financial support to orphans and widows.

Dr. Enenche also used the occasion to encourage the children to remain focused on their studies and trust in God’s plan for their lives.

Addressing the children directly, Dr. Enenche urged them to face their studies with determination and to hold fast to hope.

She told the children that education and good character would open doors for them, and encouraged them not to allow present hardships to dim their future prospects.

“Study hard, obey your teachers, and keep your eyes on the prize,” she said, adding that the church and her family would continue to support their education and welfare.

Speaking with journalists at the event, Dr. Enenche explained that the outreach was inspired by her long-standing passion for evangelism and child education.

“We started evangelism a few years ago along Airport Road, and in the process, we discovered many children were not in school. That gave birth to about 20 Bible clubs in different villages,” she said.
“From there, I began placing some of the children on scholarships. This is separate from the scholarship programmes run by the church or by my husband. Each term, my team brings the list of children, and we ensure their school fees are paid. The list keeps growing because the children keep increasing.”

She emphasized that beyond education, the ministry provides mentorship and welfare support for underprivileged children to give them a sense of belonging and hope for the future.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Dr. Enenche for her kindness and support over the years.

One of them, Praise Adekunle, said, “I feel happy, and I thank her so much for the gift of life. She placed me on scholarship, and for that, I’m grateful. May God bless and protect her and grant her many more years.”

Another beneficiary, Peter Oche, added, “Mommy has been paying my school fees since junior school. I’m now in SS1. My prayer is that God will give her more life, more wealth, and more knowledge.”

According to Dr. David Abu Ozigi, Head of Welfare Department at Dunamis International Gospel Centre, the gesture reflects the ministry’s unwavering commitment to demonstrating God’s love to the less privileged.

“This is not unusual for our Mummy. It is a consistent act of obedience to God’s command to care for orphans and widows,” he said.
“Over 30 orphanage homes were empowered today, scholarships were awarded, and widows received support. Our spiritual parents, Dr. Paul and Dr. Becky Enenche, continue to show that true religion is love in action.”

He added that such gestures build confidence and self-esteem among the children, reminding them that “God is indeed the Father of the fatherless.”
