Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, surprised lawmakers and staff by appearing at the Edo State House of Assembly during its plenary session.
IDOMA VOICE reports that his visit comes amid speculations of an affair with an Edo lawmaker, following his recent announcement of divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
A viral video shows the session turning chaotic as lawmakers and staff flocked around the singer, taking pictures and momentarily losing focus on legislative proceedings.
Meanwhile, Nigerian journalist Kikelomo Atanda-Owo has weighed in on the ongoing divorce saga, emphasizing the need for women to attain self-reliance in relationships. Speaking on her show, Real Talk With Kike, she highlighted the importance of self-love, warning women against staying in relationships despite red flags.
Atanda-Owo, wife of journalist Reuben Abati, sympathized with Annie Idibia’s devotion but stressed the necessity of prioritizing emotional well-being. She also praised 2Baba for handling the situation with maturity by keeping personal matters off social media.
