Echechofu Ali: How herdsmen murdered fresh Benue graduate in Agatu

A fresh graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Echechofu Ali, was on Sunday hacked to death by suspected herdsmen in his hometown, Odugbeho in Agatu local government area of Benue state.

The deceased was among the scores killed by the militia herdsmen during an attack on the agrarian community on Sunday.

IDOMA VOICE reported that over 40 of residents of Odugbeho in Agatu were massacred on Sunday following a coordinated attack on the community by suspected herdsmen. Hon. John Ikwulono, the vice chairman of the council, confirmed the attack on Sunday.

It was gathered that, Echechofu, a graduate of the Agric business department of UniAgric, Makurdi, returned home to Odugbeho after competing his project waiting for NYSC mobilization, before meeting his untimely end.
