Ediga Bede Agbo appointed Otukpo health varsity acting VC as board fires Prof Ujah

Professor Ediga Bede Agbo has been appointed as the acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO).

Prof. Ediga Agbo emerged as the acting Vice Chancellor of the University during a special meeting of the Governing Council held on the seventeenth of October, 2024, and headed by the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of FUHSO, Engr. Ohieku Muhammed Salami.

The Pro Chancellor, Chairman of the Governing Council, and members, earlier during the meeting, suspended the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Innocent Ujah, mni, OON, NPOM, for alleged gross misconduct and willful disregard of its authority.

The sexagenarian and renowned professor of Microbiology is a native of Otukpo, Benue State, Nigeria. Prof. Ediga Agbo has since assumed duty as the acting VC of FUHSO.
